"'War & Wine' is an absolute adrenaline overdose. You can't argue with music like this. If you did, chances are it would punch your face off. - KKKK"
Kerrang!
"Crossbreeding Motorhead's sulphate frenzy and the meaty lurch of Black Flag - and generally bringing together metal bombast and hardcore angst very convincingly, their world is one dominated by war, booze, bad women and worse drugs"
- Q Magazine.
These self-styled "urban stags" combine three members of the late, lamented IRON MONKEY with the drummer from Brit-metal cha(u)mps ORANGE GOBLIN. "War & Wine" comprises 10 harsh-but-fair salvos of wrecking ball rock, played as violently in-the-red as inhumanly possible. Much like an unstoppable rusted battleship of bile and terror, The Dukes Of Nothing now begin their blackened assault on the North American continent.
Originally released in 2002 throughout Europe on the UK indie, Eccentric Man Records, "War & Wine" now rears its volatile head on US shores. With repackaged artwork, an enhanced portion and 2 bonus tracks (a cover of David Allan Coe's "Rock & Roll Fever" plus their original "That's What I Hate") "War & Wine" proves a formidable foreign force on our domestic landscape. On the enhanced portion a live video of the title track plus volumes of photos and lyrics rounds out a comprehensive lesson into Dukes mythology.
October 2003 will bare witness to the Dukes of Nothing premier live assailment upon stateside venues along with US cohorts and labelmates Scissorfight.
