04.20.01 5IVE Since we are slackers over here, it would only make sense that we have yet to 100% officially declare to the masses that the devestating new 5ive LP is finally out and available. Well guess what? It's out. And it sounds amazing. And it looks amazing. And it comes on 180g, 140g and color LP. The CD version isn't far off, their second record isn't far off, and they are just now lining up a tour for late June. Sit back and enjoy. MILLIGRAM Milligram's "Black and White Rainbow" CDEP is available now through mailorder. It should be available through the site very shortly and come early May it will be in all fine record stores throughout the nation. BW RBW is eight previously unreleased tracks from a band that the glossy, pretty mag "Alternative Press" considers one of the bands to watch out for in 2001. The CD is 3 MG originals and 5 cover tracks of their choice. The idea with this record was to deliver a very reasonable, quality object to the true fans of MG. What we decided was that we would take these 8 tracks, put them on a CD, package them in a double CD case and sell it as a companion CD to MG's debut CDEP "Hello Motherfucker". When you find this new disc, it is so lo-fi that the only artork you will see is a pretty rainbow on the disc and a sticker over the shrinkwrap. Oh, by the way, the disc is limited to 1000 copies and sells for a measly $4 bucks through mailorder.... SCISSORFIGHT Scissorfight has officialy finished their new record to be released to the European continent this summer. "American Cloven Hoof Blues" is 7 brand new Scissorfight tracks and 5 rerecorded version of songs from their debut "Guaranteed Kill". This record is a split release between the UK's Eccentric Man Records and Tortuga. The CD will be available in limited quanities in the US. But good news for the American folk, the band will enter the studio this June with Andrew Schneider and Craig Riggs to record the next testament in the development of a legend. "Mantrapping for Sport and Profit" is scheduled for release early this fall on Tortuga. Oh, how could we forget, a Scissorfight page is finally in the works.
