Updates are over-rated.
It's how cool you think you are that is important. We think we are real cool. That's why it's like pulling teeth to get an update out of us......
OLD MAN GLOOM
Old Man Gloom "II: The Holy Rites of Primitivism Regressionism" and Old Man Gloom "III: Zozobra" have arrived. OMG delivers more of their patented look into the psyche of our simian counterparts. Since our last excursion with the OMG troupe, the founding duo of Montaño and Turner have officially joined with transmission specialists Newton, Scarola, and Scofield to form a revised and widespread unit. OMG II is massive undertaking of collages and creations delivered in expected OMG fashion. The companion piece, Zozobra, sets a new precedent for the OMG Institute by birthing one mighty song in the time restraint of 30 minutes. Look for the discs to appear in your favorite record store this March. If that is too long, you can get them both through mailorder right now......
SCISSORFIGHT
MTV just found out what they've been missing. Starting February 6th and running randomly for a week will be a 2 minute segment called "You Hear it First" that will feature Scissorfight in all their rock glory. The band trucked on down to the Big Apple last week, recorded an interview with new MTV Newsman, Iann Robinson. The segement will feature footage from this Saturday's gig at the Linwood. Go and support your future rock heroes.
5IVE
Finally, for the love of God, we are expecting the debut LP from 5ive in the next week or so. We've had the sweet as candy 180g version of the record for a few weeks and have just been waiting for the covers and inserts to show up. The band just starting recording their 2nd LP this past week with Andrew Schneider once again behind the knobs. Expect the new record this summer. The LP will be in stores this March. We've got it on 140g, 180g and colored.....can't go wrong with 5ive.
MILLIGRAM
Although the initial plans for a new CDEP have been scrapped, the material intended for that release may see the light of day very, very soon.....more news to come soon. The band has been writing new tracks scheduled to appear on a full length somewhere down the line. Jeff Turlick (of Stompbox, Roadsaw fame) has officially been crowned the bands new bassist. Talks are in the works for the European edition of "Hello Motherfucker" to appear on the French label Overcome within the next few months....
